About

I'm currently working on my PhD Thesis, started in 2009 at the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne under the supervision of Professor Francis Joannès. My research addresses the problematic issue of the fall of the Neo-Assyrian Empire at the end of the 7th century B.C.

In addition to my PhD research, I am working as a Research Assistant  for the Achemenet Project headed by Professor Pierre Briant (Chair of History and Civilization of the Achaemenid World and of the Empire of Alexander, College de France, Paris). This website (http://www.achemenet.com/) aims to make documentary and bibliographic resources on the Achaemenid Empire accessible to scholars. My task consists mainly in indexing texts from babylonian private archives (Ebabbar, Bel-remanni, Egibi) in the database.
